Because it's easier to decide when you can see the real thing. We build the preview from information that's already public, like your listing on maps and review sites. There's no obligation, and if you'd like it removed it's gone within two business days.

It's not listed on Google or any other search engine; we tell them not to index it. Anyone you share the link with can open it. It carries a banner saying it's a preview and not your official site, and it expires on the date shown in that banner.

Public listings go out of date, so this happens. Tell us what's wrong and we'll correct it, usually the same day. Nothing goes live until you've checked it.

Sorry we missed it. Let us know and we'll delete the preview and take you off our list.

Of course. Use the removal form or email us. It's offline within two business days, usually much sooner, and we won't contact you again.

Previews expire after about a month. If you'd still like yours, email us and we'll bring it back.

Standard is $299 to set up, then $29 a month (or $290 a year). Your first charge is $328: the setup plus your first month. Own it is a one-time $699 with no monthly fee from us. There's no contract on either.

By card through our secure checkout, run by Whop. Apple Pay and Google Pay work too where your device supports them. We never see your card number. Charges show up on your statement as PLAINSTREET. If you'd rather pay by invoice, just ask.

Updating hours, prices, menu items, photos, specials, holiday closures and wording. Up to 30 minutes a month is included, and most requests take five. If something is bigger, like a new page or a redesign, we'll quote it first and you decide.

Cards get declined or expire sometimes. We'll email you a link to update your card. Your site stays up while we sort it out. We only pause a site if a payment is more than 14 days overdue and we haven't been able to reach you.

Sorry about that. Email us and we'll refund the duplicate right away. You don't need to contact your bank.

Yes, within 14 days of your site going live, if you're not happy. See refunds and cancellation.

No problem. On Standard we can register one for you in your business's name, and the renewal is included while you're with us. Or you can start on a free address like yourbusiness.plainstreetstudio.com and add a domain later.

Keep it where it is. We'll send you the two settings to add at your registrar, or do it together on a ten-minute call. If anything is mistyped, the old address keeps working until it's fixed, so there's no downtime.

No. We only change the settings that point the website. Your email settings stay exactly as they are.

Yes. You'll get an invite to a simple editor where you can change hours, the menu, prices, photos and text. See how editing works. If you'd rather not, just email us your changes.

You can't really. If an edit has a mistake, like hours typed as "9 to 5", the site keeps showing the last good version until it's fixed. Every save is kept, so we can roll back to any earlier version in a minute.

You own your content and your domain from day one. Once your setup is paid, the design is yours too.

You stop being charged, and the site stays up until the end of the period you've paid for. We send you the site files and move the domain into your name for free. You can host the site yourself at no cost, and we'll show you how. No hostage-taking.

No. There are no ads, analytics cookies or tracking pixels on your site unless you ask us to add them.

That's not what we do. We make simple, fast sites with menus, services, hours and an ordering button. If you need a full shop, we'll tell you so and point you somewhere better.
