Editing your site yourself
Your site comes with a simple editor. You fill in forms (hours, menu, prices, photos), press Save, and the live site updates about a minute later. No code, no design skills needed.
Getting in
- Look for our invite email. It comes from Pages CMS, the editor we use, a day or so after your site goes live. Ask us to resend it if you can't find it, and check your spam folder.
- Click the link in the email. You'll sign in with your email address. You don't need a new password or any other account.
- Open your site. You'll see sections like Business details, Opening hours and Menu (or Services).
Making a change
- Open the section you want, change the text, and press Save.
- Wait about a minute, then reload your site. That's it.
A few tips
- Hours use the 24-hour clock:
09:00-17:00. For a lunch break, use11:00-14:00,17:00-21:00. For a day off, typeclosed. Closing at midnight is00:00. - Phone numbers need all 10 digits, like
(509) 555-0123. - Links (Instagram, ordering) must start with
https://. - Photos look best wide, at least 1200 pixels across. Give each one a short description, which helps people using screen readers.
- Menu: once your real menu is in, untick "This is still the sample menu".
If something goes wrong
You can't break your live site from the editor. If a change has a mistake, like hours written as "9 to 5" or a photo that's missing, the site doesn't publish it and keeps showing the last good version. If your change hasn't appeared after five minutes, that's probably why. Tell us and we'll fix it.
Every save is kept, so we can roll back to any earlier version in a minute.
Rather not do it yourself?
That's fine too. Most clients just email us. On Standard, up to 30 minutes of changes a month are included. Send a change request.
