Your free website account
About 10 minutes · free · nothing to install
Your new website will live in a free account in your own name, so it's truly yours and keeps running without us. The account is with Cloudflare, the company that keeps your website online.
You'll need: your business email and about 10 minutes. A computer is easiest, but a phone works too.
- Create your account. Go to dash.cloudflare.com/sign-up. Type your business email, make up a strong password (keep it somewhere safe), and click Create Account.
- Confirm your email. Cloudflare sends you an email. Open it and click the link inside. Can't find it after a few minutes? Check your spam folder.
- Add us as a helper. In Cloudflare, open Manage account, then Members, then click Invite.
- In the email box, type hello@plainstreetstudio.com
- Under Roles, tick these two boxes: Workers Platform Admin (lets us put your website into your account) and DNS (lets us connect your web address). No web address yet? The first box is enough.
- Please don't tick Super Administrator or Administrator. We don't need them.
- Click Continue to summary, then Invite.
- Tell us it's done. Reply to our email, tick "Done" on your setup page, or text us. That's all!
What happens next: we put your website into your account, connect your web address, and check that everything works. We'll email you when it's live.
Good to know
- It's free. Your website doesn't need a paid plan. If Cloudflare ever asks you to pick one, choose Free.
- Your password stays yours. We'll never ask for it. The invite is all we need.
- It's your account. You can see who has access under Manage account → Members, and you can remove us any time. Just tell us first: we'll finish any open changes and send you a fresh copy of your site, and your website stays online. You can invite us back whenever you like.
- Extra safety (optional): turn on two-step sign-in under My Profile → Authentication, and keep the backup codes it gives you somewhere safe.
- Cloudflare's own terms apply to your account; you agree to them when you sign up.
